Abstract
The study aimed at technology adoption and competitiveness of manufacturing firms. The specific objectives of the study were to determine the effect of networking integration on cost competitiveness; assess the effect of digital marketing on market share; assess the effect of product development on customer satisfaction; and determine the effect of technology advancement on cost competitiveness. The study adopted the survey research design. A purposive sampling was triangulated with snowball sampling technique to arrive at 342 respondents. The study used well-structured questionnaire, and the reliability of the instrument was determined with Cronbach alpha test. The study used Structural Equation Model. Regression weight was applied to test hypotheses. Findings revealed that networking integration had a significant positive effect on cost competitiveness, digital marketing had no significant positive effect on market share, product development had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction, and technology advancement had a significant positive effect on cost competitiveness. The study concluded that technology promotes competitiveness in today’s business environment. The study recommended that firms prioritize networking integration by fostering strategic partnerships and collaborative networks in order to enhance competitiveness.
